A firm favourite with locals, Hämbre is located in Ibiza’s gastronomic hub of Santa Eulalia on the east coast of the island. Drawing inspiration from its coastal positioning, Hämbre’s cuisine is a true showcase of local Mediterranean fare. Harnessing regional flavours from the town’s local ‘Es Mercat’ - its very own daily farmers market, Hämbre focuses on sharing and sustainability to present an unrivalled taste sensation.

Having opened in 2019, the local community have visited Hämbre in their strides. Allured by the restaurant’s own love story, it was established by chef Matias Romano and fashion photographer Antía Pagant partner. A creative duo, who first met by a chance rendezvous in New York over pizza, led them on a culinary journey around the world.

Landing themselves in Ibiza to initially open venue Siesta, a few years later Hämbre was born. Now further supported by a team including, Miguel Lopez and Javier Vazquez who have both earnt quite the culinary reputation for themselves, it's hardly surprising Hämbre remains popular.

Inside, diners can enjoy a Mid-Century aesthetic and romantic vibe further complemented by live music, perhaps even Matias on the decks, and an authentic service from its staff. A nod to the owner’s inaugural years, Hämbre showcases an ever-cool seventies feel. Think retro lighting, antique tiles and vintage decor. In the warmer months, the terrace invites Hämbre’s atmosphere to be extended further. And in the winter? Rug up and let the good times roll.

Offering an ever-changing menu circa every three days, a visit to Hämbre is never dull. Diners can savour creative, high-quality dishes paired with an exquisite selection of natural wines and kombucha each night. Some celebrated favourites include mussels escabeche, made with three types of vinegar and served on sourdough toast with aioli. The vegan Caesar kale salad is simply divine particularly in respect of all vegetables sourced directly from a local farm. More inventive options include juicy Ibiza chicken or skate wing. As one of the front runners setting the standard for Ibiza’s gastronomy scene, Hämbre meets the challenge of a humble venue that offers a dining experience like no other.
